Responsibilities Oversee daily store operations to achieve sales and margin goals, promote sales, deliver excellent customer service, nurture inventory levels, and balance expenses. Provide professional customer service for internal and external customers, handling product, pricing, and technical inquiries. Support the outside sales team in nurturing existing client relationships and welcoming new business opportunities. Ensure accurate and timely daily processing of financial transactions, including cash reports, charge tickets, coding, costing, pricing, daily cash summaries, and bank deposits. Maintain accuracy of back‑order, open‑order, and Purchase Order (PO) expedite reports. Cultivate appropriate cylinder and hard goods inventory levels for the branch. Facilitate and lead training for inside sales associates on product knowledge, company policies, processes, procedures, and safety. Conduct periodic performance reviews for branch associates. Act as a bridge between employees and management, providing performance mentorship and guidance in collaboration with Human Resources and senior management. Required Qualifications 2+ years of management experience in a customer‑facing environment. Experience supporting and leading teams within a retail or industrial distribution environment. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and occasionally up to 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment. Proficient computer skills and the ability to navigate multiple priorities concurrently. Self‑motivation with a focus on contributing to the overall team’s success. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Track record of meaningful contributions in the welding, gas, or safety industry. 3+ years of experience focused on nurturing team growth and operational efficiency. 5+ years’ experience in sales with a track record of meaningful contributions. Experience with inventory cultivation and vendor relationship support.
