Accounts Payable SpecialistLaSalle Network is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist for an immediate contract opportunity with a leading global trading and financial services organization in downtown Chicago. Following a recent Oracle implementation, the accounting team is navigating parallel processing, organizational changes and increased transaction volume. As a result, they are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist who can step in quickly, make an immediate impact and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is not a traditional invoice-processing role. The ideal Accounts Payable Specialist will bring strong accounting judgment, understand how accounts payable impacts the general ledger and feel comfortable working within a complex, multi-entity, multi-currency environment. Strong performers may have the opportunity to extend beyond the initial contract term.What's the job?Process and review high-volume accounts payable transactions, averaging approximately 1,000 invoices per monthManage invoice approvals, coding and payment processing across multiple entitiesSupport journal entries and account reconciliations related to AP activityInvestigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issuesWork within Oracle ERP while supporting ongoing transition activitiesEnsure compliance with internal controls and accounting policiesCollaborate with accounting leadership to maintain accurate financial reportingSupport AP operations in a global, multi-currency environmentWhat's needed?2-3+ years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar accounting-focused AP roleExperience working in a global, multi-currency environmentUnderstanding of journal entries, reconciliations and AP-to-GL processesERP experience required; Oracle experience strongly preferredBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferredAbility to work independently with minimal training or ramp-up timeStrong attention to detail, organizational skills and accounting judgmentFinancial services or similarly complex industry experience is highly preferredWhat's in it for me?$30-$35/hour compensationLaSalle Network consultants are eligible to enroll in benefits.
