Work Environment

This role operates in a home care setting, where the Physical Therapist will travel to various patients' residences throughout Mesquite, providing care in a comfortable and personal environment. You will work closely with patients to evaluate their needs and provide tailored treatment programs effectively. By working in the community rather than a traditional clinic, therapists can build strong relationships with clients and see firsthand the impact of their care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical abilities, mobility challenges, and specific rehabilitation needs during home visits.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using a range of evidence-based methodologies suitable for orthopedic conditions.
• Deliver effective therapy programs that include manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and patient education to facilitate healing and prevent re-injury.
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient records using the Raintree system, ensuring that all documentation aligns with clinic standards and healthcare regulations.
• Provide education to patients and their caregivers about treatment plans, recovery processes, and strategies for injury prevention and management.
• Monitor patient progress closely and make necessary adjustments to treatment protocols to optimize recovery outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of clients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will work with individuals of various ages and backgrounds, focusing on their unique needs to facilitate a smooth transition back to their daily activities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active or eligible Physical Therapist license to practice in the state of Nevada.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in physical therapy with a focus on outpatient services is preferred.
• Experience working in home care or similar settings is a plus; however, we encourage new graduates to apply as well.
