Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in administering individualized treatment programs, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities as prescribed in the patient's care plan.
• Provide one-on-one support to patients during mobility training and functional exercises, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and encouraging optimal physical performance.
• Regularly monitor and document patients' progress, reporting observations and outcomes to the supervising Physical Therapist for ongoing treatment adjustments.
• Educate patients and their families on the correct use of assistive devices and self-care techniques, empowering them to actively participate in their recovery process.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment sessions and patient interactions, adhering to organizational and regulatory standards.
• Foster a healing environment by ensuring a clean and organized treatment space, preparing equipment, and supporting clinical staff in day-to-day operations.
• Engage in meaningful communication with patients and their families to clarify treatment plans, expectations, and progress, ensuring a clear understanding of the rehabilitation process.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and nursing staff, to deliver comprehensive, integrated care.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and clinic policies, contributing to a culture of accountability and excellence in patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist Assistant at Royal Heights Rehabilitation Center will primarily work with a diverse population of patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders, and post-surgical interventions. This role requires a compassionate approach, as many patients may face challenges related to mobility, pain management, and emotional support during their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field related to physical therapy.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Nevada.
• Sound knowledge of physical therapy principles, rehabilitation techniques, and functional movement mechanics.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients, families, and the clinical team.
• Ability to work independently while under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists.
• A patient-centered, empathetic attitude towards care delivery.
• Adaptability and the skill to manage a variety of patient cases with differing needs.

Preferred Experience

• 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a clinical setting, preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and previous documentation experience.
• Experience working with a wide range of patient populations, including children, adults, and the elderly.

Compensation and Benefits

The competitive salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance the well-being and job satisfaction of our employees.
