Work Environment

This onsite role requires a commitment to working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility to accommodate patient needs as required.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Gotham Enterprises Ltd, you will take on a variety of key responsibilities, including:

• Assisting the Physical Therapist in the execution of individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's objectives.
• Guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, stretching routines, and activities that are designed to support their recovery and enhance functionality.
• Educating patients on best practices regarding body mechanics and home exercise programs to promote ongoing rehabilitation outside of therapy sessions.
• Administering therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress meticulously, tracking metrics such as range of motion, strength improvements, and overall functional gains.
• Preparing treatment areas and ensuring that necessary equipment and supplies are organized and available for efficient therapy sessions.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to converge on patient-focused care strategies that maximize recovery outcomes.
• Providing encouragement and emotional support to patients during their rehabilitation journeys, helping to create an uplifting and motivating atmosphere.
• Upholding ethical standards and patient confidentiality, ensuring all patient interactions are conducted with respect and professionalism.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

• Graduated with an Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Obtained a valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Solid foundational knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and physical therapy therapeutic interventions.
• Proficiency in implementing treatment protocols and exercises under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Compensation and Benefits
