Community Concern Mental Health Clinic is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. In this crucial role, you will provide effective counseling services specifically tailored to trauma injury patients, assisting them in navigating mental and emotional challenges while promoting recovery and resilience.

Work Environment

This position allows for a fully remote work setting, providing you the flexibility to connect with patients from the comfort of your own home while maintaining a structured workweek. The regular work schedule runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, allowing for optimal work-life balance while ensuring maximum availability for patient sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations to assess the mental and emotional needs of trauma injury patients.
• Develop and implement individual treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient, focusing on effective coping strategies and long-term recovery.
• Engage in ongoing communication with patients, actively listening to their concerns and adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on their progress and feedback.
• Educate both staff and patients on various coping mechanisms and wellness strategies related to stress and trauma.
• Collaborate with social and medical agencies, as well as healthcare professionals, to ensure patients receive comprehensive care and resources.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with relevant regulations and standards, maintaining confidentiality and security of patient information.
• Participate in continuing education courses to uphold your National Certified Counselor certification and stay current with best practices in mental health counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced trauma, often resulting from accidents, personal loss, or other distressing events. These patients may exhibit a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other trauma-related disorders. Your expertise will play a critical role in their journey towards recovery, helping them rebuild their lives and achieve their personal goals.

Qualifications

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential is required.
• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of practical experience specializing in trauma care and counseling.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and communication purposes.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective patient interactions and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with Salesforce and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of contemporary therapeutic methodologies related to trauma care.
• Demonstrated success in developing and leading effective stress management and coping workshops.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer a competitive benefits package that includes:
