Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher serving 6th to 8th graders in a classroom designed for Significant Support Needs. This contract role offers an exciting opportunity to nurture growth, learning, and independence among a small group of students in a collaborative educational setting. The assignment is set to start immediately and may extend through the end of May.

Key Qualifications:

• Current, valid Special Education teaching license (must provide a copy prior to placement)
• Experience supporting students with significant needs, particularly at the middle school level
• Strong collaborative and communication skills to work with students, families, and staff
• Dedication to promoting inclusion and individualized instruction
• Patience, resourcefulness, and creativity in adapting lessons and strategies

Primary Responsibilities:

• Teach and support a caseload of approximately five middle school students requiring significant support
• Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and requirements
• Foster a safe, engaging, and positive classroom environment
• Utilize evidence-based instructional methods to address diverse learning needs
• Partner with classroom staff, related service providers, and families to ensure cohesive support
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and communication with team members
