Working with 6th to 8th graders, you’ll provide essential instruction and personalized attention in a classroom with a five-student caseload. You’ll foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes growth, self-confidence, and independence.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification or license (please submit a copy with your application)
• Previous experience working with students with significant support needs preferred
• Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills
• Ability to create and implement individualized lesson plans
• Dedication to fostering academic, social, and emotional growth

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction tailored to students with significant support needs
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet individual IEP goals
• Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports for each student
• Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families
• Develop a positive, structured classroom atmosphere that emphasizes learning, inclusion, and respect
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student assessments

This full-time role runs from now until late May, following a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday schedule from 8:40 am to 3:50 pm and Wednesday from 9:40 am to 3:50 pm, providing a predictable routine and work-life balance.
