Position Overview

In this full-time, onsite role within a hospital setting, you will work closely under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide essential rehabilitation services to our patients. Work Environment

Our hospital environment is equipped with state-of-the-art therapeutic technology and resources, offering a comprehensive suite of physical therapy services. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, physicians, and nursing staff, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care. The facility operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required based on patient needs and clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the licensed Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. This may include exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to relieve pain and improve function.
• Perform routine treatment procedures in accordance with the established program, ensuring adherence to best practices and current clinical standards.
• Monitor and document patients' progress, recording observations regarding their condition and reactions throughout therapy sessions.
• Report significant findings and changes in patients' status to the supervising Physical Therapist to ensure continuous care and adjustment of treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adult patients experiencing orthopedic injuries and chronic pain conditions. You will engage with diverse demographics within the community, emphasizing personalized therapy approaches that address individual challenges. By working with patients to enhance their functional abilities, you will directly contribute to improved quality of life outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program is required.
• Possession of a current and unrestricted New York State Physical Therapy Assistant license, or eligibility to apply.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective patient interaction and collaboration with team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, particularly in orthopedic and chronic pain management, is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and documentation practices is advantageous for maintaining accurate patient files.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 60,000 to 80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
