Immediate start date: 10/05/2026.Location: Bossier City, LAStart Date: 10/05/2026End Date: 01/02/2027Shift: 12H Night ShiftHours/Week: Varies (4 days one week, 3 days next)Employment Type: Hospital ContractRequired Licenses/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSSExperience: Minimum 1 year in acute care (First-time travelers require 2 years of perm staff RN experience)Hourly Rate: $48.24Pay & Benefits:Competitive pay packages discussed upon applicationWeekly pay schedule via direct depositComprehensive medical benefits (W-2)Robust referral bonus programPaid sick time in accordance with applicable lawsLicensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicableWhat You'll Do:Provide nursing care to patients in the telemetry and transplant units with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, and altered mental statusMonitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, including reading cardiac strips after passing an EKG competency examAdminister medications including cardiac drips (no titration) and wound care as directed by WOCNsSupport patient assessments, reports, and documentation using Meditech Expanse EMR systemCollaborate with the multi-disciplinary team including RT, OT, PT, and hospitalist staffAssist with blood draws, IV initiation, and support on the unit as neededFloat across units within scope of practice, with unit support from charge nurses and resource staffWhat You Need:Required:Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible compact stateBLS, ACLS, NIHSS certificationsAbility to pass EKG competency exam and demonstrate cardiac rhythm interpretation skillsMinimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience (2 years if first-time traveler)Preferred:Experience with telemetry, transplant, or med-surg unitsAbility to work independently with strong communication skillsAbout the Assignment Join a busy, well-equipped unit specializing in telemetry and transplant patient care.
