Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Hematology

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist Trainee for hematology work in Burlington, North Carolina. The role involves performing laboratory procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality in a night-shift position. New graduates are welcome with comprehensive training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assess specimen acceptability according to established quality criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental protocols
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper function
• Prepare, test, and evaluate reagents and controls; perform preventative maintenance
• Report accurate test results timely and maintain safe work environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred
• 3 months or more clinical laboratory testing experience preferred
• Proficient with computers and laboratory information systems
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Physical capability to meet job demands; attention to detail and communication skills
