Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct preliminary interviews to gather information from clients and document their cases from initial consultation through the end of treatment.
\n
• Perform detailed evaluations of clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health to inform treatment strategies.
\n
• Develop customized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic techniques to promote healing and growth.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document client progress throughout the course of treatment, making adjustments to plans as necessary.
\n
• Collaborate on intervention plans with fellow mental health specialists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers to provide a holistic approach to care.
\n
• Provide follow-up support and liaise with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who may have been hospitalized.
\n
• Identify and address behaviors that may hinder recovery efforts, integrating feedback from both clients and treatment teams.

• Assist family members and primary caregivers in managing mental and behavioral challenges, providing resources and support as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse array of clients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and substance use disorders. Your focus will be on ensuring each client receives the personalized care they need, fostering a therapeutic relationship built on trust and understanding. As you engage with clients from various backgrounds, your ability to offer culturally competent care will be essential.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• Successful completion of the NCE and/or NCMHCE with a passing score.
\n
• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor, including internship and post-graduate clinical experience.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR.

• Experience in treating clients with dual diagnoses, which may include mental health and substance use conditions.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• An in-depth understanding of psychiatric medications and their implications for mental health treatment.
\n
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a empathetic and agreeable demeanor.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus an enticing sign-on bonus.
