You will lead the store team, manage stock and vendor orders, handle daily floor operations, and drive sales targets. Retail experience and an interest in Japanese cuisine are highly valued.Essential DutiesHands on approach to developing the store customer experienceUtilising reporting tools available to shape commercial decisions which will benefit the customer and storeManaging the floor and whole store environment through consistent presence to ensure it represents our brand, complying with our rules/time table effectively maintenance stocking items or taking care of any malfunction of our equipmentsDriving the team to achieve and exceed the sales targetsWorking with other managers to manage the performance and development of team membersMaintaining professional, technical and challenging knowledge of product and customer service including cooking or Japanese Grocery, and educating the store team on this.Manage and make all staffs' working schedule every monthBe aware of trends and propose ideas to build the range and quality of customer service and store salesProvide effective leadership and work together with the members to the operation team to ensure targetsCommunicating with vendors to place an order and take care of malfunctionTaking care of delivery almost every day including carrying something heavy, using the stairs, using knives, and stocking to the shelvesKeep clean and organize the store and stocks including inside the fridge and freezer.Taking care of customers including dealing with their complaints and taking phone calls by following our policy.Working Hours / Working styleTuesday, Thursday and Friday: 10:00-18:00Wednesday and Saturday: 11:00-20:00OnsiteWorking LocationNew York, NYSalary / Benefit18/hrHolidaysMonday and SundayQualificationsMore than 1 year of professional experience in a similar role in retail sector (Preferred)More than 1 year of experience as both a customer service and stocker in similar retailKnowledge or interest in Japanese FoodsKnowledge of merchandising - how to place an order, to control the stocks and to display products for customer experience and sales expansionHaving common sense for handling foodsFood handler certification (Preferred)English level to communicate with others to follow this job descriptionPC skills (Windows, Excel, Power Point, E-mail), Strong sense of system (JKRETAIL/Other Order Form on online)Good with numbers (Handling Sales Report etc)
