Summary

A global logistics and process engineering organization is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth within the food processing sector across North America. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and delivering tailored material handling and process engineering solutions. The position involves close collaboration with international teams and requires a blend of technical expertise and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

Identify and develop new business opportunities within the food processing industry.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and industry partners.
Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
Prepare and deliver presentations showcasing products and solutions.
Conduct site visits to understand customer needs and propose customized solutions.
Collaborate with internal sales and technical teams to develop compelling proposals.
Negotiate contracts aligned with both client objectives and company strategy.
Provide feedback to technical teams and support post-sales activities.
Monitor market trends, investment activities, and sales pipeline progress.
Contribute to the development of a cohesive global sales strategy.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business.
Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B capital equipment sales, preferably within the EPC industry.
Strong knowledge of powder and liquid handling systems (pneumatic conveying experience is a plus).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Commercially driven with a customer-focused and technical mindset.
Fluent in English (native or bilingual proficiency).
Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
Willingness to travel (approximately 20%, including occasional international travel).
