Business Development Representative

Business Development RepresentativeYou are driven, competitive, and energized by the challenge of opening doors and winning business. As a Business Development Representative you will own the full sales cycle. From prospecting and relationship-building, to proposal development and closing, while also bringing technical expertise to support accurate and competitive bids. You'll play a key role in growing the company's client base, with a strong focus on owner-direct sales and long-term recurring revenue.What You'll Be DoingIdentify, qualify, and pursue new client opportunities through outbound sales activities including cold calling, networking, and leveraging industry contacts.Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach and proposal development to contract negotiation and closing.Review project specifications, drawings, and documentation to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) scopes of work.Develop and submit bid proposals and RFP responses within customer deadlines, while maintaining up-to-date CRM records of leads, bids, and client interactions.Collaborate with project managers, field technicians, and operations teams to ensure estimates align with scope and client expectations.What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.Sales background in a technical or specialty trade, particularly within HVAC, mechanical contracting, TAB, or similar industries, is strongly preferred.What You'll Need For Success3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a related role, with a focus on owner-direct sales and recurring revenue.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving new business.Strong ability to build relationships with key decision-makers and close contracts.Experience in construction estimating with the ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documents.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; self-motivated and results-driven.If you feel you don't have the experience listed above, but still think you are qualified for the job, we encourage you to apply for consideration or share this opportunity with your network.
