Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' mental health and substance use concerns, determining the presence of co-occurring disorders through in-depth interviews and standardized evaluation tools.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that focus on their unique needs, tailoring evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for effective symptom management.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that empower clients to develop vital coping strategies, relapse prevention techniques, and emotional regulation skills.

• Engage with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, ensuring that all aspects of a client's treatment plan are consistently monitored and adjusted as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Implement regular substance use monitoring practices and utilize motivational interviewing techniques to enhance client engagement and support their recovery journey.

• Educate clients and their families on the complex relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the value of treatment compliance for sustained recovery.

• Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation of treatment progress, interventions, and referrals in compliance with legal and ethical standards, using our electronic health record system efficiently.

• Participate actively in case conferences, staff meetings, and professional training sessions to enhance clinical skills, particularly in treating co-occurring disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients served by our clinic often present with a wide range of mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and bi-polar disorder, in conjunction with substance use disorders. Your role will be pivotal in identifying the nuances of each client’s circumstances and tailoring treatment approaches accordingly.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution.

• Current and valid state licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT is essential.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies specifically designed for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A strong grasp of the interplay between mental health and substance use disorders is critical for success in this role.
