We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a team in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This position focuses on supporting day-to-day payables operations through accurate invoice handling, timely data entry, and dependable payment processing. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced accounting environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review incoming invoices, confirm supporting details, and enter payment information accurately into the accounting system.

• Assign appropriate codes to invoices to ensure expenses are recorded correctly and routed for proper approval.

• Process accounts payable transactions in a timely manner while maintaining accuracy across vendor records and internal documentation.

• Prepare and assist with check runs, verifying amounts, due dates, and payment approvals before release.

• Reconcile invoice information with purchase or payment records to resolve discrepancies and prevent delays.

• Maintain organized financial files and supporting documentation for audits, reporting, and day-to-day reference.

• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to answer payment questions and address invoice-related issues.

• Experience supporting accounts payable functions in a detail-oriented office or accounting environment.
• Working knowledge of invoice processing, invoice coding, and payment entry procedures.
• Ability to handle data entry tasks with a high level of speed and accuracy.
• Familiarity with check runs and standard accounts payable workflows.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
• Proficiency with basic accounting systems and standard office software.
