About the Role CBTax is seeking commercially driven and results‑oriented Business Development Managers to join the New York City office. This role is suited to experienced business development professionals with proven track records in consultative sales, client acquisition, and revenue growth within fast‑paced, high‑performance environments. Successful candidates will play a key role in driving new business opportunities, managing strategic client relationships, and leading complex sales engagements from prospecting through to close. Working closely with senior leadership, you will contribute directly to the firm’s growth strategy while collaborating across teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to further develop leadership capabilities, expand market influence, and progress into senior commercial leadership roles within CBTax. This position offers uncapped earning potential and the chance to work with some of the USA’s most innovative businesses. In this Role, You’ll Identify and engage potential clients and close new business through networking, strategic outreach and targeted sales efforts. Manage a structured sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of high‑quality opportunities while building relationships with decision makers to drive referrals and ensure clients receive a gold‑level service. Own the full sales cycle of your own portfolio. Conduct outbound calls, emails, and networking activities to generate new business. Qualify leads and book high‑value client meetings. Develop a deep understanding of R&D tax credits to effectively communicate our value proposition. Collaborate with the marketing team to refine lead‑generation strategies and optimise conversion rates. Maintain accurate records of interactions in our Salesforce system to track progress and outcomes. Achieve and exceed sales activity targets, unlocking additional performance‑based rewards. Meet and exceed KPIs. Manage client accounts where you will receive ongoing commission from successful claims. You will Thrive in this Role if You Love sales and the thrill of chasing deals.
