Work Environment

The Physician Assistant will work in a fast-paced hospital setting that serves both inpatient and outpatient populations. The work hours are scheduled from Monday to Thursday between 9 AM and 7 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life atmosphere while ensuring high accessibility for patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including detailed history-taking and physical examinations, to accurately evaluate patient health status.

• Order, interpret, and act on various diagnostic tests, including laboratory results and imaging, ensuring timely and appropriate patient management.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in strong collaboration with attending physicians and clinical teams, targeting the most effective approaches for patient recovery.

• Perform essential medical procedures within your scope of practice, such as suturing, wound care, and catheter placements, enhancing the quality of care provided.

• Maintain clear and accurate documentation of clinical encounters in our electronic medical record (EMR) system to support continuity of care and compliance with healthcare regulations.

• Engage in patient education sessions, discussing disease prevention, treatment options, and post-discharge care to empower patients in their health journey.

• Participate actively in hospital rounds, interdisciplinary case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives, contributing to overall healthcare excellence.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

• A current and valid Physician Assistant license in the State of New York.

• DEA registration with prescriptive authority in New York.

• Demonstrated clinical experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a hospital, urgent care, or specialty setting.

• Strong diagnostic skills, procedural abilities, and clinical decision-making capabilities essential for effective patient care.

• Proficient in the use of EMR systems, particularly Epic, to streamline clinical documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits

Successful candidates will receive a competitive annual salary ranging from $120,000 to $150,000, commensurate with experience, along with an attractive benefits package. This package includes:
