Work Environment

Your work will primarily take place onsite in clients' homes as part of our home care division. This setting allows for tailored therapy plans that can be adapted based on the specific physical environments and circumstances of our clients. Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment focused on preventing disability, relieving pain, and improving functional mobility based on the established plan of care from the physician.
• Assess and monitor each client's physical abilities through comprehensive evaluations, utilizing tests for muscle, joint, and functional capacity.
• Integrate home assessments into occupational plans, making recommendations for environmental adjustments that foster independence.
• Provide therapy sessions that include manual therapeutic exercises, instructional guidance for non-manual activities, and motivational support tailored to client goals.
• Administer specialized treatments such as traction and massage therapy while documenting progress and client responses to facilitate care adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate closely with Physical Therapy Assistants and oversee their implementation of treatment plans, offering guidance as required by state laws.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights that will shape comprehensive care strategies for clients.
• Document clinical evaluations, treatment progress notes, and summaries rigorously, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and timelines.
• Educate clients and families on physical therapy practices, ensuring understanding and compliance with rehabilitation protocols.
• Remain accessible to provide guidance to Physical Therapy Assistants during treatment phases, ensuring the highest standard of care delivery.
• Accept additional responsibilities as assigned to further the goals of Wellness Works Physical Therapy, PC, ensuring the highest level of service.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will involve working with a diverse range of patients, including elderly individuals recovering from surgery, adults managing chronic conditions, and pediatrics requiring developmental support. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Registered and in good standing as a Physical Therapist, holding active licensure in the state of New Jersey.
• Current CPR certification to ensure safety in emergency situations.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in home health or related acute care settings.
• Demonstrated ability to engage clients positively and deliver exceptional patient care with a focus on satisfaction and outcomes.
• Strong communication skills and an openness to collaboration within an interdisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
