Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Northfield Psychiatric Services, you will:

• Maintain a caseload of clients and foster strong therapeutic rapport to support their mental health journeys.

• Conduct regular sessions to assess client progress, discuss their stability, and plan for discharge when suitable.

• Design and implement individualized, person-centered treatment plans that address the diverse needs of clients.

• Keep detailed and up-to-date documentation on each client's treatment, progress notes, and assessments.

• Perform comprehensive intake assessments to gather essential information for effective treatment planning.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions tailored to the unique circumstances of each client, ensuring a supportive environment.

• Engage in regular individual supervision to enhance your skills and maintain high standards of practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients include individuals facing various mental health challenges, including those experiencing psychiatric conditions and substance use disorders. As an LMHC at Northfield Psychiatric Services, you will engage with a diverse clientele, providing empathy, understanding, and effective interventions that lead to improved outcomes and overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this role, candidates should possess:

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.
\n
• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida.

• The ability to meet internal credentialing requirements specific to clinical settings.
\n
• At least one year of direct experience working with psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse populations.
\n
• Experience with individual and group therapy, as well as assessment and diagnosis methodologies.

• Basic computer skills, with demonstrated experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Compensation and Benefits\n
