This role operates entirely within a telehealth framework, which allows counselors to deliver services remotely via technology. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and crisis interventions, followed by regular assessments and follow-up care tailored to the patient’s needs.

• Assess and determine the appropriate disposition for patients requiring varied levels of mental health care, ensuring they receive the right support.

• Engage in collaboration with the Department of Correction to facilitate seamless access to care while ensuring the provision of adequate housing and treatment options for patients.

• Coordinate care with other institutional programs to optimize patient outcomes and ensure continuity of care.
\n
• Lead group therapy sessions targeted at patients on mental health observation units, fostering a supportive environment that encourages healing and growth.

• Participate in regular clinical supervision with a Clinical Supervisor to enhance professional development and maintain high standards of care.

• Complete all necessary documentation and statistical reports to support case management efforts.
\n
• Engage in mental health and medical rounds, contributing valuable insights during case conferences and treatment planning meetings for patients under consideration for mental health interventions.

• Mentor and supervise social work interns or student volunteers as assigned, fostering the next generation of mental health professionals.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required.
