What You'll Do

• Provide specialized care to pediatric patients with acute and critical conditions, including MS, DKA, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, and post-surgical patients
• Titrate medications such as pressors, insulin, heparin, sedation agents, and pain drips
• Perform PIV, CVL, telemetry monitoring, wound care, drains, and wound vac management
• Collect peripheral blood samples and manage complex IV therapies
• Collaborate with hospitalist, intensivist, RTs, and other team members to deliver seamless patient care
• Float to Adult ICU or Med/Tele units if trained and approved
• Follow hospital protocols and EMR documentation (Meditech Expanse)

What You Need

• Required: Valid RN license, minimum 2 years PICU experience, BLS, ACLS, PALS, pass an EKG competency exam, PIV skills, ability to titrate critical medications
• Preferred: Cross-training for ICU/Med/Tele, experience with neuro, ortho post-op, and adult float; NRP certification

About the Assignment

This assignment is based in a well-equipped, pediatric-focused ICU with occasional adult cases. The unit is known for being traveler-friendly with a family-oriented culture, offering top-tier patient care in a supportive environment. The hospital provides orientation, followed by two shifts on the unit, with every other weekend rotation and work on 2–3 holidays. You will work four days one week and three the next, with flexible time-off options after approval.
