Work Environment

The work setting for this position is onsite at our outpatient office located in the heart of Clifton, New Jersey. Our clinic promotes teamwork and collaboration among a professional team that includes two other physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA). Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify each patient's goals, strengths, and areas for improvement.
• Manage a caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, providing focused and individualized care.
• Utilize advanced clinical skills to deliver orthopedic treatments that enhance mobility, reduce pain, and prevent surgery where possible.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans employing a diverse range of therapeutic techniques and ensure these plans are regularly reviewed and updated based on patient progress.
• Create and promote fitness- and wellness-oriented programs that cater to specific patient needs, encouraging a proactive approach to health.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment services within our electronic medical record (EMR) system (WebPT) to maintain compliance and facilitate interprofessional collaboration.
• Consistently motivate patients throughout their treatment, helping them achieve optimal functional outcomes, strength, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate with other health professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and address any cross-disciplinary needs.
• Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect changing needs and goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries. This includes athletes looking to return to their sports, post-surgical patients, and individuals seeking rehabilitation after accidents or chronic pain conditions. Our patient demographic is diverse, boasting a mix of age groups, athletic backgrounds, and physical capabilities, ensuring each day presents unique challenges and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Current New Jersey Physical Therapist License with no disciplinary actions.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in exercise techniques crucial for orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with EMR software, specifically WebPT, to maintain accurate patient records.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy settings.
• Proven track record of developing effective treatment plans and achieving improved patient outcomes.
• Experience in a collaborative healthcare environment, showcasing strong teamwork and communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
