This remote work opportunity allows therapists to work primarily from home; however, they will also participate in in-person sessions at our outpatient office in Catonsville as necessary. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments that delve into each patient’s trauma history, determining the best possible treatment pathways.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient, focusing on trauma recovery and resilience-building techniques.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process their trauma, build coping mechanisms, and foster a healing community.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other integral team members to ensure a coherent and integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-triggered emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.

• Educate patients and their families on the nature of trauma responses and effective coping strategies, empowering them with resources for their recovery journey.

• Maintain precise patient documentation in line with legal and ethical standards, documenting progress and adapting treatment plans as necessary.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to contribute to a cohesive understanding of trauma-informed care.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and developments in the field of trauma therapy to continually refine therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of your work will be on individuals who have been significantly impacted by traumatic experiences, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will be tasked with providing a safe space for clients to share their stories, where you will guide them on their path to recovery through empathy, understanding, and targeted therapeutic techniques.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD within the state of Maryland.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience providing mental health therapy is preferred.
\n
• Solid knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building strategies.

• Experience in delivering trauma-focused interventions with demonstrable outcomes.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.

• Ability to remain composed under pressure and in high-stress situations to effectively support patients.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology to document patient care.

• A strong capacity for teamwork, collaborating effectively with a diverse group of professionals.

Compensation and Benefits\n
