Work Environment

This position is based in our outpatient office in sunny Miami, Florida, where you will join a team of skilled professionals in a supportive and friendly atmosphere. You will benefit from a structured schedule of 40 hours per week, with variable weekend availability required as part of our commitment to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their functional limitations and disabilities, designing personalized treatment plans to promote recovery.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure a seamless continuum of care, sharing insights and recommendations for patient management.
• Implement and adapt therapeutic interventions based on patient progress, utilizing a variety of techniques and modalities to maximize outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports to comply with legal and professional standards.
• Engage in patient education, effectively communicating treatment goals and instructions to patients and their families to enhance compliance and understanding.
• Supervise and support allied health staff, enabling a cohesive approach to patient care and fostering a collaborative clinical environment.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives, promoting the benefits of physical therapy and enhancing the clinic's visibility within the Miami area.
• Contribute to team meetings and training sessions, sharing insights and continuing education experiences to foster professional development among staff.
• Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and protocols while implementing appropriate safety measures for patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our diverse clientele includes individuals from various backgrounds and age groups, requiring a personalized approach to treatment. Your commitment to understanding the unique needs of each patient will be crucial in developing effective care plans that facilitate optimal recovery.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid Physical Therapy License in the state of Florida is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records and basic computer applications is necessary for efficient task management.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist, specifically in orthopedic care, is preferred.
