Qualifications and Experience:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional in schools or related educational settings preferred
• Ability to provide focused, patient, and compassionate 1:1 support
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet student needs
• Reliability and commitment to maintaining a supportive, safe classroom environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work directly with an assigned student, assisting with academic tasks and classroom participation
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations as directed by the teaching staff
• Encourage social and emotional development through positive reinforcement and engagement
• Assist with classroom activities, learning materials, and transitions between activities
• Foster an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere for the student and peers
• Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and parents/guardians regarding student progress
• Help to manage student behaviors using established school guidelines
