The Barnes Counseling Center is seeking dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapists (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to join our dynamic team in a remote full-time capacity. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality mental health care to individuals facing various challenges, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse. Our therapists play an essential role in facilitating recovery and promoting overall mental well-being through tailored, evidence-based therapies.

Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work environment, allowing for an ideal work-life balance while engaging with our patients through virtual means. Although your primary responsibility will be remote therapy sessions, you will maintain strong ties with team members and participate actively in online team meetings and case consultations. A typical work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify patient needs and collaboratively create individualized treatment plans.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions using a variety of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups to foster community and assist patients in addressing common mental health concerns.
\n
• Work alongside psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care for all patients.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention services as needed, demonstrating a strong ability to support patients during heightened emotional distress.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and available treatment options, reinforcing the importance of utilizing community resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation, adhering to all legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.

• Actively participate in case consultations and professional development opportunities, fostering continuous learning and effective teamwork.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mental health therapy to enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will involve working with a diverse population of clients, including individuals from various cultural backgrounds and age groups. You will support patients dealing with a multitude of mental health concerns, offering safe and respectful treatment that empowers them to work through their challenges.

Qualifications\n

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in Pennsylvania.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of mental health disorders, with expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Experience in conducting comprehensive assessments and developing effective treatment strategies.
\n
• Ability to deliver therapeutic services to both individuals and groups, ensuring a broad range of client needs are met.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, promoting a trusting therapeutic alliance with patients.

• Strong ethical judgment and professionalism in maintaining boundaries and confidentiality.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

• Willingness to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

• Experience working with substance abuse recovery or dual diagnosis clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
