Key Responsibilities

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will take on a variety of critical responsibilities, including:

• Conduct comprehensive examinations and evaluations of patients experiencing orthopedic issues to identify functional limitations and devise individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure an optimal continuum of care, offering consultations as necessary.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service, treating all patients with respect and cultural sensitivity.
• Document evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge plans accurately while adhering to all relevant laws and professional standards.
• Engage with the interdisciplinary treatment team, referral sources, and physicians to drive coordinated patient care.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives and contribute to ongoing quality improvement efforts.
• Provide guidance and education to patients and caregivers regarding treatment options and rehabilitation goals.
• Supervise and mentor support staff, including Physical Therapy Assistants, while fostering a collaborative educational environment.
• Ensure compliance with continuing education requirements and maintain active licensure and certifications.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Revitalize Wellness, you will work predominantly with patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system. Our diverse patient population includes individuals of varying ages and backgrounds, each with unique rehabilitation needs. Your role will be pivotal in helping them regain functionality and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and computer software for documentation purposes.

Preferred Experience

While 2 years of experience as a physical therapist is required, experience specific to orthopedic rehabilitation is highly preferred. Familiarity with contemporary therapeutic modalities and techniques, alongside a track record of successfully improving patient outcomes, will be advantageous in this role.
