Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and assessments to gather comprehensive mental health histories from clients.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral states, utilizing diagnostic tools and client feedback.
\n
• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic techniques to promote healing and recovery.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting plans as necessary to maximize therapeutic outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, social workers, and nursing staff, to integrate care and support holistic approaches.

• Follow up with healthcare professionals regarding clients who have been hospitalized, ensuring continuity of care.
\n
• Educate and empower family members and primary caregivers to support loved ones dealing with mental health challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a licensed mental health counselor at Center Stone Counseling Services, your client focus will include a diverse range of individuals experiencing various mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in New Jersey.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for effective client documentation and management.
\n
• Demonstrated expertise in working with clients dealing with various emotional, behavioral, and addiction-related issues.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, combined with sincere interpersonal qualities and empathy.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a clinical counseling role.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and recent developments in the field of psychotherapy.

• Knowledge of the impact of psychotropic medications prescribed by physicians, along with related counseling techniques tailored to medication management.

Compensation and Benefits\n
