Key Responsibilities\n

As an LMFT at Comp Health, your role will include the following key responsibilities:

• Conducting thorough intake assessments to evaluate clients’ unique mental health concerns, strengths, and needs.

• Developing and implementing tailored treatment plans that align with assessment findings and client goals.
\n
• Providing individual, group, and family therapy using proven modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy.

• Monitoring and documenting clients' progress throughout their therapeutic journey, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary.
\n
• Collaborating with medical professionals, such as psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to ensure comprehensive care and seamless continuity for clients.

• Advocating for clients’ rights, ensuring access to appropriate mental health services, and connecting them with community resources.
\n
• Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards set forth by state licensing boards and professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse range of clients including families and individuals dealing with a variety of emotional and mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and relationship struggles. Your expertise will contribute to effective treatment for clients with mood disorders, as well as help them explore their deeper emotions and coping mechanisms in a supportive and understanding environment. The integration of technology in therapy allows broader access for those who might face barriers to traditional in-person appointments.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid LMFT licensure in the state of New York.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience providing therapy, particularly with mood disorders.

• Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities, including CBT and DBT.

• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and the capacity to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other medical providers.

• A demonstrated history of achieving successful outcomes in mental health treatment and therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
