Travel Registered Nurse Oncology Job

Overview Registered Nurse – Oncology in Saint Helena, California. This travel assignment starts 08/24/2026 for 8 weeks with a weekly pay range of $2,146 to $2,162 and guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital with oncology/radiation therapy services. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,146–$2,162 per week Guaranteed hours: 40 hours Contract duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM Start date: 08/24/2026 Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital oncology/radiation therapy department Responsibilities Deliver coordinated nursing care for oncology patients in the radiation therapy department according to established standards of care and the nursing process; supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines. Perform baseline assessments and nursing histories for outpatients receiving radiation therapy, including vital signs, pain assessments, and medication history; document in accordance with Oncology Nursing Society guidelines. Assess fall risk, allergies, and communicate pertinent information to physicians and the care team; conduct weekly assessments for signs and symptoms of radiation therapy side effects. Prepare charts for initial assessments and follow-up visits; assist physicians with procedures in radiation therapy (including SRS and HDR brachytherapy); prepare exam rooms; take vital signs; assist with procedures. Draw blood, start IVs for administration of intravenous contrast, and administer medications as ordered; provide oxygen when necessary. Serve as a resource for transportation, scheduling, and pertinent medical issues between patients and radiation therapists; support effective coordination of care and patient flow. Requirements RN license, active in the state of practice (California) Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred Oncology Nursing Certification (ONC) or Chemotherapy Immunotherapy (CHIM) or ONC/ONCC-CHIM required Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Minimum 2 years of recent oncology nursing experience; radiation department experience preferred Epic experience required (EPIC EHR experience) Benefits and Support Dedicated recruiter and travel support throughout the assignment 24/7 assignment and scheduling support Fast credentialing and onboarding processes On-site clinical coordination and backfill support as needed Nationwide travel opportunities through the program
