Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n \n What you'll do: \n \n POSITION SUMMARY \n \nWe are seeking a skilled Machinist and Die Repair Specialist to join our team at our manufacturing facility located in Washington, PA. The successful candidate in this position will play an integral role in maintaining production functionality by maintaining and repairing complex dies to ensure our uninterrupted production of our high-quality steel boxes. This is a hands-on position that gives you the ability to work with you hands and see the direct impact of your labor on a day to day basis. \n \n KEY ATTRACTIONS \n \nStep into a role that's central to our success at our well-established steel outlet box manufacturing facility. Some specific duties include:\n \n \n• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to set up and operate machine tools for outlet box construction. \n \n• Perform precision machining operations, including cutting, drilling, grinding, milling and turning to fabricate parts and components.\n \n• Inspect and measure machined components to ensure they meet precise specifications\n \nConduct regular maintenance and repairs on dies including disassembling, diagnosing faults, and performing intricate repairs.\n \n• Specialize in the repair of progressive and compound dies, ensuring they function efficiently and effectively.\n \n• Modify and adjust dies for new product specifications and enhancements\n \n• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with dies to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules\n \n• Implement and follow rigorous safety standards and protocols, particularly in handling heavy machinery and sharp tools\n \n Qualifications: \n \n Basic Requirements: \n \n• Ability to machine and construct tooling to drawing specifications to meet production need\n \n• Ability to read, alter CAD drawings and blueprints\n \n• Ability to use manual lathes, mills, grinders, etc. to fabricate process equipment\n \n• Familiarity with machining a variety of tool steel material and including D2, A2, and copper. \n \n Preferred Qualifications: \n \n• Associate degree related to Tool and Machining or 2 years of machining experience. \n \n• Experience in building die tooling for stamping/manufacturing processes. \n \n• Welding TIG/MIG experience\n \n• Familiarity with steel heat treating process \n \n \nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
