Position Description The School of Family & Consumer Sciences seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach courses in Consumer Affairs, Family & Consumer Sciences, Fashion Merchandising, Human Development and Family Sciences, Interior Design, and Nutrition. These faculty will be appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Appointments are based upon student demand on a semester-by-semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental need. Successful candidates may teach at the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses and/or online, depending on the needs of the academic department. This posting is for the fall 2025, spring 2026, and summer 2025/2026 semesters. Applicants will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration if and when a need arises. Required Qualifications Minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field. Preferred Qualifications Previous teaching experience.
