Account Solution Engineer - Payer

Role Overview The Account Solution Engineer plays a pivotal role in aligning innovative strategies to technology solutions within complex accounts across the Healthcare Payer vertical. As a dynamic blend of business consultant and technologist, you will help customers connect with their clients in new ways. Through collaboration with the customer and internal business stakeholders such as Account Executives, Solution Engineering peers, Product Management, and Product Marketing, you will develop thoughtful solutions and interact with the entire customer lifecycle. You will guide deal strategy by providing deep insight into technical and business buyers, acting as a trusted advisor who drives innovation and improves business performance. Key Responsibilities Partner with clients and internal team members to drive consensus on multi‑product technology solutions across Salesforce product lines. Work on business development, operations and IT strategy, and product demonstrations. Assume the role of trusted advisor for driving innovative solutions forward while improving business performance. Business Problem Solving & Solutioning: take ambiguous business problems, define the opportunity set, recommend practical next steps, discover customer needs, analyze requirements, and position the best multi‑product solutions. Architectural Guidance: convey deep understanding of customers’ enterprise architecture; evangelize Salesforce Platform (Health Cloud, HeadlessCRM, Hyperforce, Data360, Agentforce, MuleSoft, Slack) and educate on customization and integration possibilities. AI & Data Strategy: develop technical POVs on Context Architecture for AI (including RAG, grounding, real‑time data pipelines), Agentic AI Governance, and Hybrid Architecture (human+autonomous enterprise). Connect Experiences: demonstrate executive‑level and business‑level software demos and rapid prototyping; build custom solutions tailored to multiple personas to showcase how Salesforce accelerates business strategies. Innovation & Consensus Management: evaluate solution options (buildvsbuy) and drive consensus among C‑level and IT stakeholders. Cross‑Functional Orchestration: lead cross‑functional solution guides, align to opportunity strategy, and share best practices with the broader Solution Engineering community. Required Qualifications B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS. Minimum 5 years of professional experience solving technical problems in varied environments. Deep knowledge of enterprise software applications, relational databases, web technologies, integration principles, and process orchestration. Experience with machine learning concepts (predictive and generative AI), including GenAI usage and ability to evaluate emerging AI/Data technologies. Exceptional executive presence with solid oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills to articulate complex topics effectively to both C‑suite leaders and technical decision‑makers. Willingness and ability to travel based on territory alignment. Preferred Qualifications Proven experience working in a customer‑facing role. Good at explaining ideas and keeping people’s attention. Industry experience in Healthcare Payers, understanding regulatory requirements, risk mitigation, security (HIPAA) and core industry concepts such as quoting, care management, utilization management, member experience, broker management, underwriting, and provider network management. Experience with agentic code solutions (ClaudeCode, Cursor, Codex, Agentforce Vibes). Salesforce certifications (e.g., Health Cloud) and/or previous experience as a solution/sales engineer for a CRM company or systems integrator. Hands‑on experience building, implementing, or administering enterprise software. Proven time‑management skills in a dynamic team environment. Compensation Typical base salary range: $157,640 – $210,910 annually. In California, NewYork and select cities, base pay range: $173,460 – $231,980 per year. Range represents base salary only; it does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
