Work Environment

Situated in the heart of Centreville, Virginia, our outpatient office is designed to be a welcoming and healing space for both staff and patients. We utilize state-of-the-art equipment and evidence-based practices to ensure optimal care delivery. Working onsite during standard business hours, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, you will enjoy a structured schedule that allows you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical abilities, injuries, and medical histories to develop individualized treatment plans.

• Implement and adapt treatment protocols based on ongoing evaluation findings and patient responses, ensuring adherence to best practices.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions, including evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide holistic care solutions, recognizing when to make referrals for additional medical or rehabilitation services.

• Participate actively in professional development initiatives, including team meetings, in-services, and continuing education, to stay updated on the latest practices and technologies.

• Assist with discharge planning and ensure that patients understand their follow-up care and home exercise programs for continued progress after therapy.

• Be proactive in identifying barriers to treatment access for patients, contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Start Fit Physical Therapy, you will work primarily with adult patients who experience a range of conditions, from post-surgical recovery to chronic pain management. Our clients come to us seeking support in improving mobility, enhancing strength, and alleviating pain. You will build therapeutic relationships that encourage trust and facilitate recovery while empowering patients to take an active role in their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• An earned Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.

• A valid physical therapy license in Virginia is necessary for practice.

• Strong interpersonal skills to foster a supportive and engaging environment for patients.

• Capable of effectively managing diverse patient needs and adapting communication styles accordingly.

• Current CPR certification is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably in outpatient care, is highly desirable.
