Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Critical Care Float Pool ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and Epic proficiency, working night shifts at a major academic medical center in Ohio.

Job Details

• Critical Care Float Pool position in a large academic medical center setting,
• Nurses float to a variety of ICUs based on staffing and patient acuity, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU (MICU x2), Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, and NCCU,
• Floating is required within units of equivalent or lower acuity,
• Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00-07:30),
• Epic EMR proficiency required,
• Patients require telemetry monitoring and ventilator management,

Job Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required,
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS),
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required,
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required,
• IV start experience required,
• Telemetry experience required,
• Ventilator management experience required,
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred,
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable for the second reference; coworker references are not accepted,

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted,
• Former employees of the facility are eligible after a 6-month separation period,
• RTO must be requested at time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or less for the contract period,
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after booking - candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to a fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt,
