Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of patients’ mental health status, utilizing evidence-based tools such as the DSM-5 to inform diagnosis and treatment planning.

• Developing and implementing individualized care plans that address the unique cultural and personal needs of each patient while continuously monitoring their progress and adjusting interventions where necessary.
\n
• Providing therapeutic interventions in an outpatient setting, focusing on the psychological, emotional, and social aspects of the patients' experiences with cancer.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation and treatment records in compliance with regulatory standards and department protocols, using current health management technologies.
\n
• Collaborating with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers to create comprehensive treatment plans that reflect patients' goals and desired outcomes, ensuring continuity of care.

• Acting as a liaison between patients and various treatment providers, coordinating referrals and facilitating access to additional services as needed.
\n
• Engaging in clinical supervision and mentorship, supporting the development of students, interns, and peers within the organization.
\n
• Participating in peer reviews and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care and contribute to team development and growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily serve individuals and families navigating the emotional and psychological complexities of a cancer diagnosis. The therapist will address a variety of mental health issues, providing specialized care that supports both the physical and emotional well-being of patients during their treatment journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the State of Massachusetts.

• Strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses and treatment interventions specifically related to cancer-related care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in a hospice, oncology, or outpatient mental health setting is highly desirable.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and possess strong interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a competitive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, along with paid time off and continuing education reimbursement. A sign-on bonus is also available to qualified candidates, further enhancing the overall compensation package.
