Experience: 1+ year in acute care; First-time travelers need 2+ years of perm staff RN experience in acute care

Hourly Pay Rate: $48.24 per hour

What You'll Do

• Provide expert nursing care for patients in the telemetry unit, including cardiac monitoring and assessment
• Assist with patient care related to cardiac conditions, post-transplant, and general medical-surgical cases
• Utilize EMR systems (Meditech Expanse) for accurate charting and documentation
• Support patient safety with appropriate use of IV therapy, wound care, and cardiac drips (without titration)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including RTs, PTs, OTs, and hospitalists
• Maintain compliance with certifications and pass EKG competency exams prior to start
• Float as needed to other units within scope of practice, supporting hospital needs

What You Need

• Current license as a registered nurse in Louisiana or eligible for reciprocity
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in acute care settings (2+ years for first-time travelers)
• Strong skills in cardiac care, medication administration, and patient assessment
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam and read cardiac strips
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills

Preferred:

• Experience with transplant, Med-Surg, or telemetry units
• Flexibility to work holidays and every other weekend
