Accounting Clerk

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Bounc Brook, NJ that is seeking an Accounting Clerk.About the Opportunity:This is a great summer opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to launch a career in accounting or finance. You'll gain hands-on experience across core accounting functions while working closely with an experienced finance team.What You'll Do:

• Assist with daily review of basic accounting transactions and resolve discrepancies
• Support processing of invoices, checks, and payments
• Help track incoming payments and update records accurately
• Assist with wire transfers and maintaining payment logs
• Reconcile simple account balances and maintain organized financial files
• Update and maintain spreadsheets for reporting and tracking purposes
• Scan and organize documents for recordkeeping
• Provide general administrative and accounting support as needed
• Learn and follow internal policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

Skills

• Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing) in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• Internship or coursework in accounting is a plus, but not required
• Basic Microsoft Excel skills (comfortable with data entry and spreadsheets)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work onsite 5 days per week

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
