Key Responsibilities\n

• Assessment: Conduct detailed evaluations of clients presenting with mood disorders, gathering comprehensive histories and identifying relevant psychosocial factors that contribute to their mental health conditions.

• Diagnosis: Employ the DSM-5 and other diagnostic manuals to accurately diagnose mood disorders, ensuring that each diagnosis is well-founded and client-specific.

• Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to develop tailored treatment plans that integrate evidence-based strategies, addressing their unique goals and challenges in managing mood disorders.

• Psychotherapy: Deliver individual psychotherapy sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques to facilitate healing and coping.

• Medication Management Collaboration: Work in conjunction with supervising psychiatrists to coordinate client care that may involve medication recommendations, monitoring treatment efficacy, and managing potential side effects.

• Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate therapeutic support for clients in acute crisis situations, ensuring their safety and stabilizing symptoms through appropriate intervention techniques.

• Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including treatment plans and progress notes, in compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Two years of post-licensure experience specializing in mood disorders is strongly preferred.

• Proven expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities specifically designed for treating mood disorders.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for effective client interaction and collaboration with the treatment team.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this full-time role ranges from $100,000 to $105,000 annually, complemented by performance-based bonuses.
