Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments by consulting with patients to thoroughly understand their physical condition and symptoms.
• Diagnose movement dysfunctions and design individualized treatment plans that meet specific patient needs and goals.
• Educate patients extensively on therapeutic exercises and ensure they understand proper execution to maximise benefit.
• Administer manual therapy techniques such as massage to facilitate the healing process.
• Guide patients in the use of rehabilitation equipment, including wheelchairs and walkers, ensuring safety and correct application.
• Document patient progress meticulously, maintaining clear and organized records that track their improvement over time.
• Advise patients and their families regarding at-home treatment options and set exercise guidelines to sustain progress outside of therapy sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, from children recovering from sports injuries to elderly individuals managing chronic conditions. Our clients come from various backgrounds and will benefit from your tailored interventions, reflectively enhancing their mobility, strength, and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required; a Doctorate is preferred.
• Current State License to practice Physical Therapy in New Jersey.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Adept in using computer systems for patient documentation and treatment planning.
• Ability to adapt to varying circumstances with flexibility and agility.

Preferred Experience

An ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, although motivated new graduates with relevant internship experience may also be considered. Specific knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities will be advantageous.
