Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individualized therapy sessions in multiple settings, primarily within clients' homes or at our outpatient clinic, where a safe therapeutic space can be established.

• Implement evidence-based strategies to facilitate behavioral modifications, including anger management, coping strategies, and social skills enhancement, effectively addressing high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious and aggressive actions.

• Support caregivers and adolescents in enhancing their decision-making capabilities to foster healthier behavioral responses and improve family dynamics.
\n
• Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and other interdisciplinary professionals to create cohesive treatment plans, sharing insights and strategies that account for the holistic needs of each child.

• Ensure timely submission of critical documentation, including client intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes to maintain compliance and facilitate effective treatment continuity.

• Participate actively in regular team meetings and contribute your expertise in discussions regarding case management and suggested treatment modifications.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on serving children and adolescents aged 3-20 who experience developmental disabilities or intellectual challenges. You will engage with a wide spectrum of clients, tailoring your therapeutic approaches to meet individual needs and encourage positive growth. Your work will empower families by helping them understand their child’s challenges, thereby fostering a more supportive and understanding environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a closely related field is required.

• Must possess an active and unrestricted LMFT license in Oregon.

• You should be able to commit to working a minimum of 5-10 hours weekly during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with weekends available for extended hours.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary for home visits.
\n
• Prospective candidates must successfully pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing positive behavior support and developing coping strategies is highly desirable.

• Prior hands-on experience working with children and teenagers, especially those with intellectual or developmental disabilities, is considered a strong asset.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is strongly preferred, enhancing our capacity to serve a diverse client base.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We are pleased to offer a competitive salary in the range of $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
