Rental Account Manager

Job Summary The Rental Account Manager serves as the primary rental sales/marketing function at the business unit level, supporting the commercial rental and trailer services product lines. The role focuses on driving profitable new account acquisition, retaining existing accounts, increasing rental revenue growth, and improving profitability and return on assets. It also manages lease conversion quotas, enhancing lease sales productivity and performance. Key Responsibilities Sales: Develop leads via cold calls, telephone solicitation, and customer visits; assess customer needs; create proposals; coordinate with rental operations to ensure equipment availability; lead branch marketing efforts and train rental sales representatives on telemarketing. Decision Making: Contact decision makers, develop competitive proposals, and train relationships. Customer Retention: Maintain contact through visits and calls, handle complaints, stay abreast of needs, and schedule retention visits for long‑term customers. Time Administration: Prepare proposals and contracts, maintain customer files, coordinate follow‑up correspondence, ensure data integrity in DPS system, manage credit approval, collections, maintenance‑PM status, and scheduling updates; comply with procedures and collections. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
