Empower students to thrive with your expertise in occupational therapy! This rewarding contract position offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on a diverse caseload of 30-40 students across multiple school locations near Dearborn, MI. As an onsite occupational therapist, you'll collaborate with education teams to help students develop essential skills, maximize independence, and succeed both academically and socially.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid licensure to practice as an OT
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Comfortable managing a varied caseload and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
- Please note: Only submissions from fully licensed OTs will be considered; COTA candidates cannot be accepted due to supervision requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ needs and develop goal-oriented interventions
- Partner with teachers, support staff, and families to foster a supportive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports
- Support the development and adaptation of classroom activities, ensuring accessibility for all students
- Travel as needed among assigned school sites within the region
