Step into a rewarding educational role supporting middle school students in a resource classroom setting. This contract opportunity is available immediately, continuing through the end of May 2027. As a valued paraprofessional, you'll work closely with teachers to enhance learning and provide dedicated assistance to students who benefit from additional support.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of experience as a paraprofessional within a school environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Meet at least one of the following academic or assessment pathways:
- Completion of at least two years of college credits (approximately 60 semester credits) from an accredited institution,
- An associate degree or higher,
- Passing score on an approved basic skills test (such as ParaPro Assessment or ParaEducator assessments with required minimums)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional support to students in a resource classroom at the middle school level
- Assist teachers in adapting lesson materials and classroom activities
- Foster a positive learning environment, ensuring students’ academic and social needs are met
- Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and encourage participation
- Support students with diverse abilities in one-on-one or small group settings
- Maintain a professional, patient, and proactive approach at all times
This role offers a 35-hour work week, following a Monday through Friday 7:15 AM to 2:15 PM schedule, located near Anoka, MN.
