Key Responsibilities

In the role of Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Designing and implementing personalized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at alleviating pain, preventing disabilities, and enhancing muscle functionality in adherence to established care protocols.
• Supervising physical therapy assistants to ensure compliance with the prescribed treatment plans and fostering their professional growth.
• Conducting thorough diagnostic evaluations of patients' functional abilities and adjusting treatment modalities based on individual progress.
• Assessing patients' home environments to identify potential modifications that could improve their independence during rehabilitation.
• Delivering comprehensive home-based therapy services, including administering manual therapies, therapeutic exercises, and various treatment modalities like traction and massage to facilitate recovery.
• Evaluating and adjusting any prosthetic and orthotic devices, making recommendations as needed based on patient feedback and performance.
• Participating in the development and continuous review of patient care plans through interdisciplinary team consultations, assuring collaborative treatment efforts.
• Maintaining meticulous clinical records in accordance with organizational standards and submitting necessary documentation promptly.
• Educating clients and their families on therapy practices and providing training on the proper use and maintenance of therapeutic devices.
• Performing functional assessments and identifying community resources to enhance patient care.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active physical therapy licensure in California.

• A minimum of one year of hands-on experience in acute care or home healthcare settings, demonstrating both proficiency and compassion in patient care.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance, as travel to patient locations may be required.
