Work Environment

This role is based onsite within our healthcare facility located in the heart of Bakersfield. As a member of our rehabilitation team, you will work alongside two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), fostering a collaborative work atmosphere where knowledge and best practices are shared. Your daily schedule will typically run from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balance of work and personal time.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to identify their individual needs and treatment objectives.
• Develop and implement tailored physical therapy treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices and a variety of therapeutic techniques.
• Manage a caseload of approximately one patient per hour, ensuring each individual receives focused and effective care.
• Utilize advanced manual therapy techniques to enhance patient outcomes and facilitate recovery.
• Promote cost-effective solutions that reduce reliance on medications and invasive surgical options.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously through regular assessments and adapt treatment plans accordingly.
• Document all services delivered to patients in compliance with our electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and support optimal recovery pathways.
• Encourage patients, demonstrating techniques to improve their strength, flexibility, and overall functional abilities.
• Conduct wellness and fitness programs tailored to meet the distinct needs of each patient.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work primarily focuses on orthopedic patients who are in various stages of recovery. These individuals may be recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain conditions. You will play a vital role in helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals, emphasizing mobility and quality of life improvements.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field, with a strong emphasis on clinical education.
• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California.
• A clean professional record, free of disciplinary actions or restrictions related to practice.
• Expertise in manual therapy techniques, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of various therapeutic modalities.
• Adept at designing and implementing exercise regimens tailored to individual patient needs.
• Proficiency in navigating and utilizing EMR software platforms, such as WebPT, to document patient interactions effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desired, demonstrating a solid foundation in rehabilitation practices.
• Experience working in a fast-paced clinic environment while maintaining high-quality patient care.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
