About the Role:

The Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) at ABA Enhancement LLC-IE, CA02, plays a vital role in supporting licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering high-quality therapeutic services to clients with communication disorders. This position focuses on implementing individualized treatment plans designed to improve speech, language, and communication skills under the supervision of a certified speech-language pathologist. The SLPA will work closely with clients of varying ages and abilities, assisting in therapy sessions, collecting data on client progress, and adapting activities to meet client needs. The role requires a compassionate and patient approach to foster a positive and encouraging environment that promotes client engagement and success. Ultimately, the SLPA contributes significantly to enhancing clients' communication abilities, thereby improving their overall quality of life and social integration.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant program or equivalent coursework.
• Valid state certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, if required by California state regulations.
• Basic knowledge of speech and language development and common communication disorders.
• Ability to follow detailed treatment plans and work under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with children and adults with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities.
• Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
• Proficiency in using data collection software and electronic health records.
• Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish or other languages commonly spoken in the Inland Empire region.
• CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities:

• Assist speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans during therapy sessions.
• Conduct therapy activities and exercises designed to improve clients' speech, language, and communication skills.
• Collect and document accurate data on client progress and report findings to supervising speech-language pathologists.
• Prepare therapy materials and maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming therapy environment.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to support client goals and ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about best practices and client needs.
• Adhere to all ethical, legal, and professional standards as outlined by the supervising speech-language pathologist and regulatory bodies.
