Pinnacle Hospitality Group is seeking an accomplished and highly motivated Director of Operations to join our executive leadership team. This is an opportunity for an experienced hotel operator to take a significant leadership role within a growing hospitality company and have a direct impact on the performance, culture, and future of our organization.

Our portfolio includes nationally recognized hotel brands and hospitality assets throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a leader who can strengthen our existing operations while helping us build the systems, people, and culture necessary for our next stage of expansion.

The Director of Operations will work directly with the President/CEO and serve as a key connection between ownership and our property-level leadership teams.

This is not a desk-only corporate position. We are looking for a true hotel operator—someone who enjoys being in the properties, developing people, solving problems, analyzing performance, and producing measurable results.

What You’ll Lead

The Director of Operations will provide leadership and operational oversight across multiple hotel properties while developing and supporting our General Managers and property leadership teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead, mentor, and develop General Managers and department leaders across the portfolio.
• Establish clear performance expectations and accountability at each property.
• Conduct regular property visits, operational reviews, and inspections.
• Analyze hotel P&Ls, budgets, forecasts, payroll, expenses, and operating performance.
• Identify opportunities to increase profitability while protecting the guest experience.
• Ensure staffing and payroll levels appropriately reflect occupancy and business demand.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, online reviews, quality scores, and brand performance.
• Ensure properties consistently meet or exceed franchise and brand standards.
• Develop action plans for hotels or departments that are not meeting expectations.
• Strengthen operational procedures and internal controls throughout the organization.
• Oversee standards related to front office, housekeeping, maintenance, breakfast/F&B, sales, and guest services.
• Monitor purchasing, direct billing, accounts receivable, deposits, cash controls, and other operational procedures.
• Work closely with property teams on preventative maintenance and overall property condition.
• Assist ownership with capital planning, renovations, property improvements, and major maintenance projects.
• Participate in recruiting and selecting General Managers and other key leadership positions.
• Work collaboratively with sales and revenue-management teams to maximize property performance.
• Assist with acquisitions, hotel transitions, renovations, brand conversions, and new projects.
• Provide ownership with clear and consistent reporting on property performance, challenges, and opportunities.
• Step in decisively when a property requires additional leadership or operational support.

Who We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate is an experienced hospitality professional who understands that great hotel operations are built through a combination of strong leadership, financial discipline, accountability, and exceptional guest service. You should be comfortable walking into a property and quickly understanding what is working, what is not, and what needs to happen next.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have:

• 5–7+ years of progressive hotel leadership experience
• Experience as a General Manager, Area General Manager, Regional Director of Operations, or Director of Operations
• Multi-property hotel management experience
• Experience with major hotel brands such as Hilton, Marriott, Choice Hotels, or comparable franchise systems
• Strong knowledge of hotel P&Ls, budgeting, forecasting, payroll, labor management, and expense controls
• Experience managing guest satisfaction and brand quality standards
• Strong understanding of front office, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, revenue management, and overall hotel operations
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, motivate, and hold management teams accountable
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A hands-on leadership style and willingness to spend significant time in the properties
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the portfolio
